How to Measure for Your Korean Bra Size
Getting your Korean bra size is simple with a tape measure and centimeters (cm)! Measuring your body correctly helps clothes fit better, as explained in guides like this one on taking body measurements.
- Measure Your Underbust: Take off your bra, or wear one that isn’t padded. Breathe out normally. Wrap the tape measure snugly around your body, right underneath your boobs. Make sure the tape is straight and flat.
Write down this number in cm. This number is used for your Korean band size. - Measure Your Bust: Now, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your boobs. Don’t pull it too tight – it should just rest on your skin. Keep the tape level with the floor.
Write down this number in cm too. - Put Numbers in Calculator: Type your underbust number and your bust number (both in cm) into the calculator above.
- Find Your Size: Click the calculate button! It will suggest your Korean bra size (한국 브라 사이즈).
Easy Tip: Stand in front of a mirror when you measure! This helps keep the tape measure straight. Asking a friend or family member to help can also make it easier to get your bra size in cm.

How Korean Bra Sizes Work
Korean bra sizing might seem tricky, but it’s easy once you get it! It uses centimeters (cm). The size is a number followed by a letter (like 75B or 80A).
- Band Size: The number (like 70, 75, 80) comes from your underbust measurement in cm. Korean bands usually go up in steps of 5 cm. You choose the band size closest to your measurement.
- Cup Size: The letter (A, B, C, D, E…) tells you the difference between your bust measurement and your underbust measurement (in cm). The bigger the difference, the bigger the cup letter! Korean sizing usually goes A, B, C, D, E, and so on.
- About 10 cm difference = A cup
- About 12.5 cm difference = B cup
- About 15 cm difference = C cup
- About 17.5 cm difference = D cup
- About 20 cm difference = E cup
(Remember, these are just guides! It can change slightly between bra brands.)
Sometimes, Korean bras might fit a bit differently than bras from other places. They are often designed for Korean body shapes and might have different padding levels.
What Your Korean Bra Size Means
Your calculated Korean bra size (한국 브라 사이즈), maybe 75B, might look different from your usual US or UK size. That’s totally normal! Korea uses cm and has its own system. You can compare sizes using our US Bra Size Calculator or UK Bra size Calculator.
Our bodies can change, so it’s smart to measure yourself again every year or so. If you feel like you’re between sizes, you can check out sister sizes. For example, if 75B feels a bit loose around your body, try 70C (smaller band, bigger cup). If 75B feels too tight, try 80A (bigger band, smaller cup). Our Sister Size Finder helps you find these!
Fixing Common Bra Fit Problems
Finding your correct Korean bra size can fix many common bra troubles!
- Band Rides Up Your Back? This usually means the band number is too big. Try a smaller band number, but go up a cup letter (like change from 75B to 70C).
- Straps Dig In or Slip Off? First, make sure your band fits well – it should do most of the supporting work! If straps still slip, look for bras with straps that are closer together.
- Spilling Out of the Cups? You need a bigger cup letter! Your boobs should fit smoothly inside the cups without bulging out.
- Gaps in the Cups? If there’s empty space in the cups, the cup letter might be too big. Or, the bra shape might not be right for your boob shape. Try a smaller cup letter or a different style.
- Wire Pokes or Hurts? The underwire should sit flat against your chest, between your boobs, and go around them comfortably. If it pokes, the size or style is likely wrong.
Changing US/UK Sizes to Korean
Trying to directly change your US or UK size to a Korean bra size (한국 브라 사이즈) can be confusing. Korea uses cm and makes bras a bit differently. Size charts help guess, but measuring yourself in cm is the very best way!
Understanding clothing sizes across countries can be complex, as shown in guides like this one on international sizes. Always trust your own cm measurements for Korean bras.
Underbust (cm) | Approx. Korean Band | Approx. US/UK Band |
---|---|---|
68-72 cm | 70 | 32 |
73-77 cm | 75 | 34 |
78-82 cm | 80 | 36 |
83-87 cm | 85 | 38 |
88-92 cm | 90 | 40 |
Cup sizes are even harder to just convert. Sometimes a Korean cup letter might seem bigger than a US/UK one for the same fit. Measuring is key!
Super Important: Measure yourself in cm! Use the Korean bra size calculator above. That gives you the best starting size. Our Bra Size Converter can also help you see how sizes compare worldwide.
Tips for Buying Korean Bras
Ready to shop for Korean lingerie? Keep these easy tips in mind!
- Know Your CM Sizes: Always use your underbust and bust measurements in centimeters.
- Look at Brand Charts: Different Korean brands might fit a little differently. Check the brand’s own size chart if they have one.
- Notice the Padding: Many Korean bras have padding. This can make the inside of the cup smaller, so sometimes you might need a bigger cup letter.
- Read Reviews: See what other shoppers say about the fit, especially if they share their size.
- Check Return Policy: Especially when buying online, make sure you know if you can return or exchange the bra if the fit isn’t perfect.
